In 2016, i had already knew of Sam smith and their incredible music from the years prior. By late 2016-2017, i had become a huge fan. That was around the time i heard “lay me down”. This song is so incredibly beautiful and has brought me to tears. Sam’s voice is so angelic and you can feel the emotion that sam is expressing. I’ve clung to this song during my hardest years in life. Both “In the lonely hour” and “the thrill of it all” truly saved me during those times. For that i am grateful.
