i bought a the album from hmv in newcastle after finishing my 1st year exams. i have a vivid memory of going back to my student halls, putting the vinyl on and being so shocked at how seen i felt. this was someone openly queer, speaking about unrequited love, with lyrics that spoke to every fibre of my being. this album genuinely changed my life - it proved that being emotional and vulnerable is not EMBARRASSINg, but a strenghth, and that from it can come success and celebration. thank you sam
